Sometimes songs take years to get right. Endlessly slaving over tired chord structures that you’ve convinced yourself are the only route the track can take until, one day slumped over the piano you give up and call your band mate over who, with fresh ears throws away all the bullshit that the tune never needed and your left with something wonderful.

Never come down was the total opposite of this. The 3 chord keys riffed followed by a top line hook and chorus in about 15 minutes, and the lyric came about 10 minutes after that.
